You can tell far more about a person by their action. Take me for example. I keep buying tins of food. You know, a tin of tuna, a can of peeled or chopped tomatoes, a tin of pineapple. The theory goes that one day I might need these one day. For a recipe for example. The other reason I buy tins is as emergency food. In case I come home ravished one night and everything is closed or I'm stuck in my flat when the aliens attack and I need food.

However what has been happening while I await for the pending alien attack is that the expiry date on the tins arrive and i have to ditch them unopened. New cans are bought to replace the old cans, and as the cans have moved with me from location to location the process is repeated. Cans have a life of about two to three years I think. I've been here just shy of six.

I don't think I have opened a can since arriving in London. I realised the other day I haven't had a can opener for two and a half years. If the aliens do attack I can throw my unopened (unopenable) cans at them though.
